Janine Brown is the founder of Lemon Dry Productions Pty (Ltd). She studies BA Film and Television at the University of Witswatersrand. Brown’s project Made You Look deals with politics of representation and is an exploration of the effects of gaze reversal on the black male body.
Mpho Khwezi is a graduate of the Vaal University of Technology and is a Market Photo Workshop Alumnus. Khwezi worked as a photographer of the Mail & Guardian, South African Broadcasting Corporation and Internation Organisation for Migration in Zambia. He was nominated to participate in the 2009 World Press Joop Swart Masterclass.
Phumzile Nkosi studied photography at the Market Photo Workshop and English at the Wits School of Language. Nkosi has taught photography at the Market Photo Workshop and Sibikwa Arts Center. In 2017, Nkosi participated at RESIST(E), a photography conference in France presenting their body of work Inkosazana KaBaba (Daughter of a King).
Tiisetso Lesotho completed the 2017 Photojournalism and Documentary Photography Programme at the Market Photo Workshop. In 2018, she participated in the Community Media Photography Internship. Lesotho’s photography mainly examines the unique socio-economic challenge of South Africa’s townships with a special focus on how different people’s lives are, but all how similar they are.
