I'm January Thwala

January Thwala ,lives in eMbalenhle extention 18. He is an open minded person who enjoys experiencing new things. Thwala is  family oriented person, a designer. He plays basketball as a hobby and blends in social spaces very well. He enjoys taking part in group settings and also  as individually he works in great capacity.

Thwala’s  photography project focuses on air pollution, which  is a burning issue in the community of eMbalenhle as it is located next to the Sasol mines.

“Community members also contribute to Air pollution by burning fossil fuels, tires and using stoves that require wood and coal . Mines and industries around us release dirty air which causes people to get ill like having sinuses, allergies, rashes, a sore throat and eye problems or eye infections”.
