Hello,
I'm Makhosazana Nkonde
Makhosazana Zonia Nkonde, is a 30 year old born in Daveyton Gauteng in 1992. She grew up in Park Town in Standerton Mpumalanga, where she attended her primary and secondary school. She then relocated to Embalenhle Mpumalanga where she studied at Gert Sibande TVET College and obtained N6 Management Assistant certificate. She has good communication skills and she is committed and hard working
Her Photography story is inspired by a lady called Dzimatsi Masilela who lives in extention 18 eMbalenhle, who runs a day-care center. She recently opened a center in place that used to be an illegal dumping site. Nkonde chose this story because she saw the good that she has done and is still doing for the community.
“The first time I met her I was looking for a nanny that’s in close proximity and she was available. She even helps abandoned children by getting them help they need. The day care started in 2005, in her backyard. And later opened a bigger one to accommodate as many children as possible. The story fits well with the topic of the project. Dzimatsi created a safe space for children”.
