Tshepiso Ramosela
BIOGRAPHY
Ramosela was born in 1994 in Lesotho and currently lives in South Africa. She studied a BA in Strategic Communication at the University of Johannesburg where she volunteered as a campus photojournalist. She was part of the editorial team that covered the #FeesMustFall protests, advocating for communication between students and the university. She studied the Photojournalism and Documentary Photography Programme at the Market Photo Workshop in 2018. During this year, she worked on a documentary that explored the feelings and experiences of people who were wrongfully accused of crimes. The project is inspired by her father’s experience of being wrongfully accused. She also worked on a body of work titled, Found Not Taken inspired by Edson Chagas, which is focused on the things she found in the south of Johannesburg.
