Malusi Madyaka is a photographer currently based in Johannesburg, South African. Madyaka was born in Whittlesea in the friendly province of the East Cape, South Africa. He studied the Advanced Programme in Photography at Market Photo Workshop in Newtown, Johannesburg. Malusi’s ideas in photography are sparked by things he sees everyday and by his experience as a farmer. He saw many extraordinary daily community activities, breathtaking scenery and challenges faced by men and women in different places. After he saw all of the above mentioned, that is where he realised that so much is needed to be captured. Malusi’s work focuses on family matters and community projects. His hometown has a history that he believes needs to be documented by its people.
